Q: What's my initial investment?

Q: What's in the Standard Kit?
A: For $149, you get up and running right away. A value of more than $400, it includes our signature heart fondue set for delectable dipping and the most popular quick desserts that are easy and impressive to demonstrate. It has everything you need to hold your first four to six Tasting Parties. Pass around the Chocolate Covered Almonds, taste test the popular Truffle Fudge Brownies and stir up some Chocolate Martinis. Everyone has a great time and you get a quick and easy head start.


Q: And the Master Chocolatier Kit?
A: For just $449 (a $900 Value), you get all the basics plus all you need to demonstrate candy making like a pro. Imagine conducting candy workshops and helping customers create homemade chocolate gifts. This kit contains all the professional equipment and tools you'll need, plus twice as much chocolate and mousse, and all of our crowd pleasers like easy-to-make desserts and drink mixes and ready-to-eat items.


Q: Will I need to purchase special products for my business? i.e., kitchen tools, office supplies, a display table?
A: Your kit really has it all. We encourage our Chocolatiers to do their demonstrations in a central part of the house, such as an existing kitchen counter, island or dining room table. You may want to have some basic office supplies like a calculator, but that's really all you need.


Q: Do I get a discount on products when restocking my kit?
A: We provide a discount on our chocolate and products for Chocolatiers.


Q: What training do you have? What if I don't have any experience?
A: No experience is necessary, we're with you every step of the way. When you purchase either of our Business kits, you get a step-by-step quick-start training manual that guides you through the first 90 days (with planning tips for the months beyond). You'll have on-line training tools, a sponsor, and the home office team always ready to help you build your business.


Q: What other training is offered?
A: When you join our team, you'll be connected with a Chocolatier as a mentor and given access to the Chocolatier Connection, an online portal filled with news updates, downloadable resources, and product information to guide you throughout your development. Q: Are there training meetings to attend?
A: On a local level, your mentor will have regular team meetings. On a corporate level, we offer training conference calls monthly. These are toll-free and last about an hour. We hold an annual National Sales Meeting in the summer and a Leadership meeting at the beginning of the year to share Chocolatier experiences and provide additional support to ensure your success.


Q: How do I get started?

Q: How many out-of-pocket expenses will I have?
A: Our Chocolatiers estimate spending between $12-15 per party on out-of-pocket costs. We encourage our Chocolatiers to keep these costs down by having their host provide the dippables, beverages, napkins, etc.


Q: Is there a minimum number of parties I need to have?
A: While there is no party minimum for Chocolatiers, there is a minimum of $200 in full retail sales over a 6 month period. Ultimately, the more parties you have, the more you make, based on your goals. It's truly a career you design. Successful Chocolatiers have found that conducting one to two parties a week helped them consistently meet their goals as a new Chocolatier.


Q: How much money can I make?
A: There is no limit to how much money you can make. It all depends on your personal goals. You'll earn 25-40% of what you sell at Tasting Parties. Depending on time and effort, that can be $500, $1,000 or more per month. If you invested 6 hours and held 2 Tasting Parties each week with average guest sales of $375, you could earn $1,000 in a month.
